Course Objective

This course introduces participants with the essential skills to manage organisational carbon footprint, starting with measurement of the status quo, followed by identifying the levers to decarbonise, change management for effective implementation and integrating it to sustainability reporting for transparent disclosure.

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Measure your organisation’s carbon footprint
Identify decarbonisation opportunities and set carbon reduction targets
Design a plan to lead the change to decarbonisation in respective organisations
Explain the sustainability reporting standards and identify the most suitable one for your organisation

1. Carbon Accounting

GHG Protocol

Scope 1, 2 and 3 inventory

2. Decarbonisation

Levers and enablers
Target setting

Decarbonisation pathway

3. Change Management
How to lead the change to decarbonise

4. Sustainability Reporting
Sustainability reporting standards, i.e. GRI, IFRS standards

Minimum Requirements

Nitec/Higher Nitec and above

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
