Data analysis skills are increasingly becoming core competencies for many jobs. Many organisations require their staff to manage, analyse and interpret data for various purposes, from visualising data to forecasting sales trends and understanding consumer preferences. Good data analysis skills are thus essential.
This course is designed to provide individuals with the foundation to develop data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel.
This course is intended to meet industry needs as it helps to train more Singaporeans to fill the skills gap in data analysis in our knowledge economy, and provide them with the skills to handle, analyse and crunch data that will make individuals much more relevant to the industry.
The course seeks to impart skills necessary to organise and handle data and its analysis to facilitate taking business decisions. It builds this knowledge via the platform of Excel and aims to impart deeper skills in using Excel for What-If Analysis, Solver and Data Analysis tools, for generating different scenarios of the business environment, and aiding decision making.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Collect and manage Business Data using Excel.
- Utilise Excel to construct charts, enabling the interpretation and analysis of business data for clearer insights.
- Develop comprehensive dashboards using PivotTables and PivotCharts in Excel to synthesise data into actionable information.
- Employ Excel's What-If Analysis and Solver tools for informed decision-making by assessing various scenarios and optimising outcomes.
