Topic:Engineering, Others
Course Type:Short & Modular Courses
The course includes information about the optimisation methods and the general theory. It shows the basic as well as the advanced definitions of optimisation for engineering applications. We are using the physics of the problem combined with the finite element computational method to decide what the optimal shape is for a given design space and set of loads and constraints.
The course allows participants to appreciate the use of design optimisation tools from ANSYS Mechanical in the product development to reduce cost, reduce mass, improve performance, etc. This course includes parameter-based design optimisation and topology optimisation for industry applications.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Apply design point analyses or parameterisation in ANSYS Workbench
Perform Design of Experiments, Response surface generation and Goal driven optimisation using platforms such as Ansys Discovery and its equivalent
Identify the optimised input parameters
Apply topology optimisation and validation of the optimised design
Topics to be covered:
- Introduction to Ansys Platform
- Parameter Correlation
- Design Of Experiments
- Response Surface / Optimization
- Introduction to Space Claim
- Topology Optimisation
- Basic Definitions in static applications
- Design Validation
- Experiments with case studies
