This course introduces the fundamentals of Internet of Things (IoT), how data could be transferred from sensors (IoT) to the cloud or network and data management to drive efficiency, enhance and improve operational tasks and work processes for the semicon and electronics manufacturing industry.
The objective of this course is to equip participants with knowledge of internet of things (IoT), IoT applications and its eco-systems used in the semiconductor/electronics manufacturing industry. There would be hands-on session with setting up an IoT system and participants can apply the knowledge and skills to help improve their operational tasks and increase work productivity.
This course consists of 8 hours of lectures and practical.
MODULE 1: Overview of a typical IoT application, and sensor data upload to IoT Cloud
Introduction to the various technologies in a typical IoT application; sensor data collection, wireless communication, network connectivity, cloud computing and data analysis.
Participants will have hands-on session with uploading sensor data to IoT cloud platform for visualization and remote monitoring.
MODULE 2: Graphical Data Management Tools and Applications in semicon and electronics manufacturing industries
Participants would be taught to retrieve sensor data from server to pc. They would be introduced to graphical data management tools for data analysis and visualisations.
Case study/discussion on IoT applications in Semicon and Electronic manufacturing industries
Participants would gained knowledge in IoT and be able to use digital technology to improve their work and data analysis skills to generate relevant information for their work, gained insights from the data and respond promptly
