Course Introduction:

Robotic Process Automation is the application of technology that allows employees in a company to configure software or a “robot” to capture and interpret existing applications for processing a transaction, manipulating data, triggering responses and communicating with other digital system. Skills & Technology Adoption Readiness (STAR) Series for Robotics Process Automation course will show how businesses can automate some of their internal process to bring about an improvement in productivity and get employees to move up the work value chain

Course Objective

This project-based course aims to equip participants with the skills to easily create useful Robotic Process Automation (RPA) scripts to automate desktop processes, without coding or programming knowledge. It includes equipping participants with the skills to create useful RPA scripts to automate more complex desktop processes.

Participants will learn how to achieve this through using a RPA software. Participants will also implement a RPA project to their own internal processes with mentoring and coaching provided by experienced RPA practitioners.

Course Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the Course, participants will be able to:

Explain what is RPA and how it can help to automate processes
Develop RPA scripts for used cases
Identify internal processes suitable for RPA implementation
Develop RPA scripts using learner’s selected process
Apply advanced function of RPA to automate more complex processes
Develop RPA scripts for different used cases which are more complex
Identify internal processes suitable for more complex RPA implementation
Implement and RPA project for internal used case using the knowledge and skills learnt in the class.

Installation and Introduction to RPA software
Automate basic data entry
Automate repetitive data entry
Automate data scrapping
Automate Excel and Email processes
Identifying internal processes for automation
Troubleshooting and RPA resources
Looping through multiple files and folders
Automate more complex Excel and Email processes
Using data table to achieve similar excel functionalities
String Manipulation
Extraction of data from Email body and attachments
Data Scraping for multiple levels webpages
Exception handling

Minimum Requirements

Participants must be computer literate and have basic knowledge in MS Office such as Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
