Course Objective

This course focuses on fixing Vulnerability Assessment (VA) scans, on Internet-Facing Servers. Participants will, hence, gain hands-on practical skills for network protocols, software vulnerabilities, and basic penetration testing knowledge to protect computer and network resources. 

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Achieve competency in interpreting VA reports, fixing reported vulnerabilities, and verifying fixes 
  2. Fix common weaknesses, such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) / Transport Layer Security (TLS) ciphers configuration and web application vulnerabilities 
  3. Procure and install SSL certificates
  4. Understand how vulnerabilities can be exploited
