According to EDB Singapore, leading firms across industrial sectors such as Shell, Micron, and Merck have chosen Singapore as a strategic manufacturing hub. We are the world’s 4th largest global exporter of high-tech goods – Singapore produces 5 of the world’s top 10 drugs, and is the 5th largest producer of refined oil. Our ecosystem also comprises top Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firms with facility engineering and large-scale construction expertise, and research institutes that can work directly with companies to develop cutting-edge solutions with global impact.
Meanwhile, technologies are transforming the global business landscape. The new digital age is emerging at an accelerating pace of change with no clear patterns and lack of structured information. This brings organisations to the point when traditional linear solutions do not work anymore. What is a digital transformation and how to get there?
McKinsey advocates that digital forces can have an impact on 10 to 30 percent of the industry revenue pool. However, applying new technology to old products and processes is not enough for success. This course will help participants to embrace digital future holistically across the whole organisation and learn how to gain digital leadership in advanced manufacturing.
This course aims to provide learners the skills and knowledge to develop a digital transformation strategy and a roadmap for their company, particularly involved in manufacturing.
At the end of the course, the learner will be able to develop a digital transformation blueprint and execution plan for their company.
