This course is about IoT and its application in any type of operations. Participants learn about the IoT concept behind a multi-tenant cloud platform powered by an industrial IoT operating system that provides support for device management, data acquisition and data analytics of IoT devices securely.

Course Objective

The course covers:

The concept behind the multi-tenant cloud platform’s architecture design and its IoT features.
Hands-on programming on an edge device to connect and send data securely to the Cloud platform.
How to extract the received data to display on a cloud dashboard using a Human Machine Interface (HMI) Editor.
Demonstration on actual integration works involving real industrial multi-sensors, IoT gateway to send data via IoT protocols like MQTT and OPC-UA to the cloud platform for application dashboard creation to monitor the sensor data collected in the cloud.

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

1. Describe an Industrial IoT Platform.
2. Apply APIs for edge device on AIoT Platform to connect and send data securely to the Cloud.
3. Create dashboard visualisation using HMI editor for application dashboard display on cloud.

1. Introduction to an Industrial IoT Cloud Platform
2. Edge Device data on-boarding to the IoT Cloud Platform
3. Cloud dashboard creation to visualise data using a HMI editor
4. Interfacing industrial multi-sensors to an IoT Gateway for sending data to a cloud platform via IoT communication protocols
