This course provides a non-technical introduction to 5G with a focus on understanding the business case for 5G. Participants will learn how 5G’s improved performance will drive new services and business models as compared to previous generation of 1G to 4G.
This course includes case examples of 5G benefits and opportunities for consumer, enterprise space and other technologies such as AI and IoT.
This course aims to introduce participants to 5G in a non-technical manner. It teaches participants how 5G can be used to develop new business models and new products, services and lines of businesses. It also explains Design Thinking approach to visualize how 5G technology can be applied to meet the needs of their organisations/customers so that they are more prepared to use what they learn in this course.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Describe 5G and its benefits to consumers
• Explain/identify the business opportunities brought about by 5G, and the enabling technologies of AI and IoT
• Describe the way 5G is deployed and monetized in different parts of the world
• Ideate new products and services brought about by 5G to bring about business outcomes
