Course Objective

This course is designed for Harbour Craft Masters, Engine Drivers and crew on basic maintenance of the main engine and auxiliary systems onboard harbour crafts.

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

- Identify the different types of engines.
- Perform essential engine maintenance.
- Perform Testing of the electric systems.
- Monitor and check the operational conditions of the bilge system.
- Carry out trouble shooting of common faults of the engine, electrical and bilge systems.
- Respond to common emergencies onboard.

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
